Tutorial - Configuration - Activation Codes
Once you purchase your license of Punch Clock, you will be given activation codes to remove the DEMO MODE restrictions from your copy of Punch Clock.
From the admin console, click on Maintenance, Company Configuration, and then on Activation Codes. This is where you will find the information that Punch Clock needs in order to issue you permanent codes.
If you have a standalone Punch Clock server (meaning all users punch in/out on only 1 machine), or on the Server in a network installation, the screen will look like the one above. The number in the green box above is the one that you will need to supply to Punch Clock in order to get your LOCAL activation code.
If you are running a network configuration of Punch Clock, then the workstations will display a network ID as you see above. This ID (in the green box) is the number you will need to give to Punch Clock to get your NETWORK activation code.
After hearing back from Punch Clock with your activation code(s), you will need to enter them into the Activation Codes screen. The LOCAL CODE needs to be entered on the Punch Clock Server (where the actual PunchClock.mdb file is located), and the NETWORK CODE needs to be entered on one of the network workstations. Enter the Code (in this example '12345678' into the correct spot and click SAVE. In the above example, this is the server, so only the Local Code is possible to be entered.
Once your activation code has been entered and saved, the next time you start the program the "DEMO MODE" message is gone, and the restrictions of the DEMO mode are gone as well.
